A new product has been added to the range of Vivoil variants: it is the HI-LO double pump. HI stands for high pressure, LO for low pressure. It is the new version of a Vivoil product we used to produce, now improved in performance and customization possibilities. Let’s see what its functions and features are.
What is HI-LO Vivoil pump and how it works
The HI-LO is essentially a double pump, in which the low-flow primary pump works at high pressure, while the final pump provides the high flow at low pressure. Below a given pressure (decoupling pressure), the flow rate delivered by the pump is the sum of the flow rate of the front stage and the rear stages. Above the decoupling pressure, the rear stage is put into recirculation and delivers no flow.
Here is the HI-LO pump in outline:
Above the decoupling pressure the rear stage is put into recirculation and does not deliver any flow; under these conditions only the front stage operates, whose flow rate is only given by its displacement as it can reach the maximum pressure required by the application.
Pump customizations
The HI-LO pump maintains the spirit of Vivoil products while leaving many customizations open. It allows in fact:
- Different types of motor connection flanges on both group 1 and group 2 pumps
- Different types of input doors
